Reet Good Men - Neurodivergent Men's Peer Support Group

As part of the Manbassadors project, we are hosting a new peer support group just for ND men - led by a Neurodivergent male facilitator.
The Manbassadors Project
Mental wellbeing is a topic that affects all genders, but the stigma that surrounds men’s mental health is something that remains sadly persistent.
Although many men do take care of their health and seek help when they need it, others face a range of barriers when doing so which can make them reluctant to reach out.
The figures speak for themselves: out of the 1 in 8 men that report experiencing mental health issues in the UK, 40% say they don’t feel comfortable talking about it with their family, friends or a healthcare professional.
Wigan Manbassadors’ aim is to raise awareness locally of the mental wellbeing issues facing men, helping them to find and use the local services and support they require with a bitesize intervention.

The Hosts
Reet Good Minds (Reet Good Wood CIC) is specifically led by, and for Neurodivergent Adults. In this session there is no 'activity' as such, but simply a space for Neurodivergent men to come together, chat, have access to peer support and talk about whatever it is they want to chat about, in a safe, judegement free space. The group will be led by a Neurodivergent Male who specialises in men's wellbeing. This isn't counselling, nor is it therapy. Simply a safe space for Neurodivergent men to be their unmasked, authentic selves, to make new connections and meet likeminded people. Thats it!
Sessions will run from 7pm - 9pm. You are welcome to come along at any time and go at any time - it's not a fixed session but more of a drop in and have a brew - stay for 2 hours if you want, or come for 30 mins - its entirely up to you - absolutely no pressure.
Refreshments are provided for you to enjoy :)
